Tyres for cargo and commercial vehicles

The most important part of any truck is tyres. Tyres mean nothing less than an engine or any other significant part of a vehicle. Moreover, traffic safety depends exactly on tyres. Properly selected tyres allow improving vehicle safety and its technical parameters.  Furthermore, stopping abilities, vehicle control and its adhesion to the road depend exactly on tyres. If tyres are properly selected, it significantly increases the level of vehicle safety, so if tyres are well installed, it will be safer to drive despite any weather conditions. Besides, good tyres reduce fuel consumption and cut costs.
Truck tyre is a complex engineering product; tyres have modern technology nowadays.  Therefore we can forget about days when same axle tyres were used for trucks.
Currently, there are following types of truck tyres:

  • Truck tyres for the controlled (steering) axis;
  • Tyres for the drive axle;
  • Truck tyres for trailers and semi-trailers;
  • Universal truck tyres;
  • Snow truck tyres.

Controlled or steering truck tyres are designed so that they have a series of longitudinal grooves, whereby they have accurate steering response. They also have some small number of lamellae for normal operation despite any winter conditions. Steering axle tyres for trucks. You achieve comfortable driving, quietness and have accurate steering response.

Drive axle tyres. Any truck weighs heavy. To move this heavy vehicle from a place is the aim of a drive axle tyre. It also stops a vehicle. In order to perform its functions fully under both summer and winter conditions a drive axle tyre must have a tyre tread in the form of fairly large blocks cut with lamellae. Drive axle tyres for trucks. You achieve a reliable traction and adhesion characteristics.

Truck tyres for trailers and semi-trailers. The main objective is the minimum rolling resistance. The better this task fulfilled the more fuel a carrier saves. Truck tyres for trailers have quite similar pattern with steering tyres, i.e. the same longitudinal grooves and lamellae. Nevertheless it is extremely undesirable and sometimes dangerous to install them on the steering axle! The tyre was designed to ensure a minimum rolling resistance. Trailer tyres. You achieve a maximum fuel economy.

Multi-purpose truck tyres. There are not many companies that produce truck tyres. This category of tyres allows operation both on the steering axis and the drive axis. And many people buy these tyres to install on steering axis in order to save costs, and only after a certain mileage they put this tyre on the rear axle. It is economically sound. The driver finds it more comfortable to reduce the amount of spare wheels. Multi-purpose truck tyres. You achieve a multiple-purpose effect!

Snow truck tyres. These tyres have a softer compound of tread combination and an increased number of lamellae. This allows the tread to maintain its elasticity and timely clean it for good traction and adhesion characteristics on loose and wet snow. These tyres have an increased wear and understated stopping abilities on a highway. By the way, due to their design fuel consumption will increase significantly on the highway. Snow truck tyres. You achieve an excellent performance at low temperatures.
